About 50 Percent of Voters Turn Out in Rupandehi by 1 P.M., Officials Say

Lumbini — By 1 p.m. today, officials from the Office of the Chief Election Officer said that an average of about 50 percent of registered voters in Rupandehi District had cast their ballots. Voting has been taking place peacefully at all polling centers across the district’s five constituencies, the office said.

Some areas reported turnout as high as 52 percent, and officials described participation as enthusiastic
