Floods and Landslides Toll Reaches 48; 6 Missing

Following two days of heavy rainfall on Saturday and Sunday, flash floods and landslides have resulted in at least 48 deaths across Nepal, with 6 individuals reported missing. The majority of fatalities occurred in Ilam district, where 39 people lost their lives. Other affected areas include Rautahat (3 deaths), Panchthar (2), Khotang (1), Udayapur (1), and Morang (1).

Additionally, 28 individuals have sustained injuries, and 6 remain unaccounted for. In response to the crisis, 18 pregnant women and flood-affected individuals have been rescued by Nepalese Army helicopters.

Authorities continue to coordinate rescue and relief efforts, and the public is urged to remain vigilant as adverse weather conditions persist.
