Preparations Underway to Begin Vote Counting Today in All 10 Constituencies of Kathmandu

Kathmandu — In the House of Representatives election held today, the Chief Election Officer for Kathmandu, Churaman Khadka, said voting has concluded peacefully at all centers in the district by 5:00 p.m., and early estimates indicate that around 60 to 65 percent of registered voters have cast their ballots.

He noted that it will take some time to confirm the exact number of votes cast. Khadka said that in about two hours, all ballot boxes would be collected at the offices of the respective election officers, after which the counting process will begin.
