Youths stage protest outside KMC (Pictures)

Kathmandu, 12 July: Youths from various sectors today held a protest demonstration outside the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Office.

They were protesting against the unruly and humiliating behavior of city police during various operations carried at the order of the KMC or its Mayor.

Protesters said any action against the people must take place with utmost respect and dignity to the people.

The youths displayed placards with slogans such as ‘Balen and Sunita is this the change you promised us?’, ‘Stop Looting Cycle, Cart and Street vendors’, ‘Stop KMC Police Brutality’ and ‘Mayor Balen is human right violator’ among others.
