Voting Suspended in Mahottari’s Premnagar After Local Dispute

Janakpurdham — Voting at a polling station in Premnagar, Bardibas, Mahottari was suspended after a dispute broke out, officials said.

According to Mahottari Police spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Shailendra Kumar Bhatt, the conflict began when one person attempted to vote multiple times with assistance, sparking disagreement among party agents and local residents. As a result of the altercation, election officials halted the voting process at the Premnagar polling site to restore order. Efforts are now underway to resolve the issue so polling can resume.
