Two Injured While Trying to Capture Leopard in Bhaluwang

Two people were injured in a leopard attack in Deukhuri, Dang. The injured have been identified as 59-year-old Tilak Khadka and 30-year-old Sushil Bista of Rapti Rural Municipality-1, Bhaluwang.

According to Bhaluwang Hospital, Khadka sustained injuries to his face and right hand, while Bista suffered injuries to both hands. Both are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The incident occurred around 11 a.m. on Tuesday when a leopard entered a nearby settlement from the forest. Locals said the two men were attacked while attempting to capture the animal.

The leopard has been brought under control by locals and handed over to the Division Forest Office, Lamahi. The animal is also reported to be injured.
