Janakpurdham, Nepal — Kulman Ghising, chairman of the Ujyaalo Nepal Party, said his party is contesting a significant number of seats across Madhes Province, highlighting the region’s 32 constituencies and large electorate as central to national politics.

Speaking with reporters in Janakpurdham on Thursday during the party’s campaign tour, Ghising asserted that voters in Madhes are eager for change and that his party — rather than its rivals — will lead that transformation.

Ghising described Ujyaalo Nepal as a political force distinct from others that rely largely on social media presence, saying his party “is one that shows results through action rather than rhetoric.” He emphasized that it is among the newest parties to emerge since the Gen Z protests, and that its focus is on substantive work over traditional political sloganeering.

He added that because the party was formed in the wake of the Gen Z movement and is grounded in fresh ideas, it has earned public confidence and is poised to establish itself as a formidable political force after the elections. Ghising also said he is among the contenders for prime ministerial consideration under the Ujyaalo Nepal banner.
