Kathmandu — Communist Party of Nepal – Unified Marxist Leninist  Vice-Chair Ram Bahadur Thapa has stated that the UML and Nepali Congress must immediately cooperate and move forward together. Thapa made the remarks at an event organized by the Madan-Ashrit Memorial Foundation in Kathmandu on Tuesday, emphasizing that the country is facing a crisis and that there should be no delay in strengthening cooperation between the Congress and UML to find a way out.

He said that by reinstating Parliament or going to elections, the Congress and UML should work together to defeat anti-progressive forces and put the country back on the right path. Thapa also suggested that for the elections, the Congress and UML can advance collaboratively by allocating seats equally between them.

“Our alliance can uphold the nation’s sovereignty and existence. Therefore, both parties must promptly define well-considered strategies and policies to restore democracy,” he said.
