Kathmandu — The Supreme Court has ordered that industrialist Shekhar Golchha be produced before the court within 24 hours.

According to Supreme Court spokesperson and co-registrar Arjun Prasad Koirala, a single bench of Justice Nripadhwaj Niroula issued the order on Tuesday in response to a habeas corpus petition, directing the concerned authorities to present him before the court within 24 hours along with the case file related to the extension of his remand.

Golchha, a former president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, was arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) on Baisakh 10.

Just on Monday, the Kathmandu District Court had granted permission for a second time to keep him in custody for three more days for investigation.
