Kathmandu – Senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist), who has been opposed to the eight-party unification, has attended the ‘Unity Rally’.

He arrived at the event-venue in Bhrikutimandap while the rally was ongoing. Upon his arrival, participants welcomed him with hooting.

Leader Khanal had opposed his party’s decision to merge with the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) and other eight parties.

It remains unclear whether he has changed his stance in favour of the unification.
