Senior Lawmaker K.C. Sworn In to House of Representatives (Photos)

Kathmandu — Arjun Nar Singh K.C., the senior-most member of the House of Representatives, has taken the oath of office and secrecy.

The 78-year-old lawmaker was administered the oath on Wednesday by President Ram Chandra Paudel during a समारोह held at Shital Niwas.

Following his swearing-in, K.C. is set to administer the oath to the remaining 274 elected members on Thursday (Chaitra 12).

Until a Speaker is elected, he will also preside over meetings of the House of Representatives. K.C. was elected under the proportional representation system from the Nepali Congress.
