RSP’s proportional vote crosses 5 million

Kathmandu — According to the ongoing vote count under the proportional representation system for the House of Representatives, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has crossed five million votes.

RSP has secured 5,008,804 proportional votes so far.

According to the vote results released by the Election Commission, the Nepali Congress has received 1,494,099 votes, while the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) has garnered 1,412,514 votes. Likewise, the Nepal Communist Party has secured 767,712 votes.

Among other parties, the Shram Sanskriti Party has obtained 358,433 votes, while the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has received 325,273 votes. The Janata Samajbadi Party, Nepal has garnered 172,088 votes, and the Rastriya Parivartan Party has secured 166,447 votes.

In the election held on Falgun 21, RSP won 125 seats under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) system. Similarly, the Nepali Congress won 18 seats, CPN-UML 9 seats, the Nepal Communist Party 7 seats, the Shram Sanskriti Party 3 seats, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party 1 seat.

Likewise, independent candidate Mahabir Pun has also won the election.
