KATHMANDU — Prime Minister Balendra Shah has called a Cabinet meeting for 4 p.m. on Monday at Singha Durbar, officials said.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting will be held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

The meeting comes just days after the formation of the new government, as Mr. Shah moves to accelerate administrative action and set policy priorities early in his tenure.

While the agenda has not been formally disclosed, officials said discussions are expected to focus on administrative reform, governance and the delivery of public services.

Ahead of the बैठक, Mr. Shah held separate and joint consultations with ministers on Sunday, reviewing challenges within their ministries, upcoming plans and the status of budget implementation.

Based on those discussions, the Cabinet is expected to take several key policy decisions. Issues likely to be discussed include the aftermath of the Gen Z protests, streamlining public services and the country’s current economic situation.

Mr. Shah, who took office last week following a sweeping electoral victory, has been urging ministers to deliver results quickly and efficiently.
