Kathmandu — Former Prime Minister and Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, is departing for New Delhi, the capital of India, this evening to participate in a special program for the Nepali community.

He will attend the “NCP Unity Message Meeting and Interaction,” an event being organized at the invitation of the Nepali Society of India, where he is scheduled to appear as the chief guest.

The visit is said to focus mainly on the unity of Nepalis living in India and their contemporary issues. At the event in Delhi, Prachanda is expected to deliver a special address on the problems faced by the Nepali diaspora, as well as the opportunities and challenges they encounter.

He will also share his views on strengthening Nepal–India relations and on matters of common concern to Nepalese abroad. According to RB Khadka, General Secretary of Nepali Society India, the main goal of the program is to unite Nepali brothers and sisters living throughout India and enhance their social and political awareness.

Prachanda’s secretariat has clarified that this will be a short and purpose-driven visit. No high-level political meetings are scheduled during the trip, and he is expected to return home tomorrow (Monday) evening.
