Prachanda Takes a Wide Lead in Rukum East

According to the ongoing vote count in Rukum East, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), has maintained a wide lead.

Prachanda has received 2,635 votes so far. He is followed by CPN-UML candidate Leelamani Gautam, who has secured 431 votes.

Meanwhile, Nepali Congress candidate Kumdevi Thapa has received 417 votes.

Similarly, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Lakhan Kumar Thapa has secured 176 votes, while Progressive Democratic Party candidate Sandip Pun has received 35 votes.

Vote counting is still ongoing.
