Police charge batons and water cannon on High Interest victims at Shantibatika

Kathmandu, 17 Apr: The riot at Shantibatika caused dozens of campaigners injured.

The high interest rates victims have been in protest demonstrations since the past few days.

The victims, who put forward 6 point demands, announced the end of their negotiation with the government team dated April 13 and continued their struggle.

As the protesters were not allowed to scheduled March past, there was a clash between the victims and the police.

The Police used batons and water cannons against the protesters entering into the Shantibakia and took some into detention.
