PM advisors Khanal and Timilsina resign

Kathmandu — Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Ajay Bhadra Khanal, and Public Relations Advisor Govind Narayan Timilsina have resigned.

Khanal submitted his resignation on March 13 (Falgun 29), and Timilsina on March 16 (Chaitra 2), according to the Prime Minister’s press coordinator Ram Rawal. The reasons behind their resignations have not been disclosed.

Following the completion of the elections on March 5 (Falgun 21), the date of Karki’s departure from office is drawing near. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has secured a majority and is preparing to form a new government.

Newly elected members of parliament are set to take the oath of office on March 25 (Chaitra 12), and senior RSP leader Balen Shah is expected to be appointed Prime Minister on March 26 (Chaitra 13).
