Kathmandu – Communist Party of Nepal -Unified Marxist Leninist  General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has claimed that there is no problem for party Chairman KP Sharma Oli to win the election in Jhapa-5.

Speaking to journalists at a media interaction in Kathmandu on Friday, the general secretary said that despite the buzz on social media around senior Rastriya Swatantra Party leader Balendra Sah (Balen), it would not affect the actual election outcome in that constituency.

He said voters in Jhapa-5 are politically aware and unlikely to be swayed by mere popularity or the spectacle of crowds, stressing that UML is in a safe position there with no risk to Oli’s victory.

Pokharel added that in the election the main competition would be between UML and the Nepali Congress, dismissing the idea that Raswapa is in a position to win.

He also expressed confidence that the people of Dang will ensure his own victory in his constituency, reflecting strong support for his role in establishing a significant political presence in national politics.
