Newly Elected Lawmakers Take Oath of Office in Nepal

KATHMANDU – Newly elected members of the House of Representatives have taken their oath of office. They were sworn in during a ceremony held at the temporary parliament building in Singha Durbar.

The senior-most member of the House of Representatives, Arjun Narasingha KC, administered the oath of office and secrecy.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, 63 lawmakers took their oath in mother tongues other than Nepali. Members of Parliament arrived at Singha Durbar for the ceremony dressed in their respective traditional ethnic attires.
