Kathmandu – Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’, General Secretary of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), has said that the interim government led by Sushila Karki should be dissolved and replaced by an all-party interim government.

Speaking at a mass gathering organized by the party at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu on Thursday, Chand remarked that the Karki-led interim government was formed in a mysterious manner and alleged that a conspiracy lay behind its formation.

He also stated that the “Gen-Z uprising” has proven the complete failure of Nepal’s parliamentary system. Claiming that groups exploiting the country through misgovernance and corruption have become active since the dissolution of Parliament, he urged the people to prepare for resistance.

Chand emphasized the need to amend and rewrite the constitution, asserting that the restructuring of the state must reflect the interests of the people. He also called for administrative reform, the development of capable bureaucratic manpower through the university system, and an investigation into the sources of politicians’ wealth.

Warning that political parties’ indifference toward the demands of the Gen-Z movement could push the country back into instability, he stressed the urgency of reform.

In recent times, leaders who previously spoke of “all-party consensus or government” have begun using the term “all-inclusive consensus or government.” Maoist leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ had earlier also stated that the country should move forward based on an all-inclusive consensus.
