Lawmakers Begin Arriving to Attend First Parliamentary Meeting (Photos)

Kathmandu — Lawmakers are arriving at the Parliament building in Singha Durbar to attend the session scheduled for 2 PM.

This is the first meeting following the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21.

Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has also already arrived to participate in the session.

Lawmakers have reached the Parliament building using various means of transport, from cars to scooters and even bicycles.

Today’s meeting is expected to include addresses by top leaders of six parties, the reading of a letter received from the Office of the President, the presentation of three ordinances, the announcement of the timetable for the election of the Speaker, the tabling of the Parliamentary Regulations 2079, and the endorsement of a condolence motion, among other possible agenda items.
