Last Rites of UML Chair Oli’s Father Performed at Aryaghat (Photos)

Kathmandu — The last rites of Mohan Prasad Oli, father of former Prime Minister and Communist Party of Nepal -Unified Marxist Leninist  Chairman K. P. Sharma Oli, were performed on Friday afternoon at Pashupati Aryaghat.

Mohan Prasad Oli had passed away on Friday morning.

At Pashupati Aryaghat, former Prime Minister Oli was present along with his wife Radhika Shakya. Leaders from the UML and the CPN, as well as prominent leaders from other political parties, reached Aryaghat to offer condolences to former Prime Minister Oli and pay tribute to his father, Mohan Prasad Oli.

The father of former Prime Minister Oli, Mohan Prasad Oli, died at the age of 97 on Friday morning at a hospital in Gatthaghar. According to the hospital, he had been unwell for some time.

His body was taken from the hospital to Gundu and then brought to Pashupati Aryaghat for the funeral rites.

The late Mohan Prasad Oli is survived by two sons and three daughters.
