Kathmandu – Kulman Ghis ing of the Ujyalo Nepal Party, who parted ways with Rastriya Swatantra Party (Raswapa) and Balen Shah despite their seven-point agreement, has said that he is in favor of moving forward with cooperation if there is a respectful arrangement.

Although there were discussions with Ravi-Balen about unity, Kulman, who broke away on Saturday night, told a gathering of the Ujyalo Nepal Party in Kaski district, Pokhara that he supports respectful unity.

Even though Raswapa was reportedly ready to accept all conditions once Balen became prime minister, Ghising maintained that his party should also have a share in the unity and that the prime minister’s term should be divided. For that reason, Ghising — who parted ways with Ravi-Balen’s agreement — expressed the view that alternative forces should come together, and when they do, it must be in a respectful manner.

“All must be united, with the right leadership — all alternative forces should go together. We are in a situation where, as far as possible, we go together, or if not, we proceed with some form of functional unity. Since that is the case, I also call on all new and mainstream forces to move forward united,” Ghis ing said, adding,

“Ujyalo Nepal Party is always ready to cooperate with everyone while maintaining a respectable presence — its own respect, its own standing, its self-esteem — without erasing that.”

He also shared that talks for unity have been ongoing. He said, “If we are to move forward with cooperation, many things are happening in that direction, and in the days ahead many results of that will also come; I want to express confidence in that.”
