Kathmandu, Apr 23: Sambhav Sirohiya, Managing Director of the Kantipur Media Group resigned with immediate effect from his position protesting against the way his media outlets covered Sudan Gurung episodes, especially his financial dealings.
In a circular sent to  his employees , MD Sirohiya said the way things were covered without substantiating the allegations,  amounted to creating  sensationalism . ‘ I find it difficult to continue in the post while differing with the journalism that I can not fathom.’
Without  concealing his support for Gurung, he said series of stories without substantiating charges even before he started working as a minister were not acceptable.

Sirohiya as MD was making major structural changes in the family owned media House at the top level to begin with.
