Kathmandu — Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal stated that the government has taken steps to ensure that the conflict will not recur.

Addressing an event in Kathmandu on Thursday, he said that only by accepting change can the repetition of conflict be prevented, and that the interim government has provided that assurance.

Aryal claimed that since he assumed office, there have been no incidents of violence, arson, or politically motivated killings in the country. He also criticized narratives suggesting that the government has done nothing.

He urged people not to believe claims that “nothing has happened,” saying such portrayals are misleading. Aryal also emphasized that actions taken outside the rule of law cannot be considered good governance.
