Government Recommends Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal for National Assembly Member

KATHMANDU – The government has recommended Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal for appointment as a member of the National Assembly.

During a Cabinet meeting held on Sunday, the decision was made to recommend Aryal to President Ramchandra Paudel for the position. Minister Aryal himself shared this information with media persons following the meeting.

Under the current legal provisions, the President can appoint three members to the National Assembly based on the government’s recommendation. Home Minister Aryal has been recommended for the one currently vacant seat under this provision.

The President is now expected to formally nominate Aryal to the assembly.
