Four ministers take oath of office and secrecy

Kathmandu — Four ministers added to the government led by Prime Minister Sushila Karki took their oaths of office on Friday. The ceremony was held at Sheetal Niwas with President Ramchandra Poudel presiding in the presence of Prime Minister Karki.

On the recommendation of the prime minister, President Poudel appointed Shraddha Shrestha as Minister of Women and Children, Kumar Ing­nam as Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Madhav Chaulagain as Minister of Forests and Environment, and Rajendra Singh Bhandari as Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security.

Before this expansion, the interim government formed after the Gen Z movement included ministers such as Home Minister Omprakash Aryal, Energy Minister Kulman Ghising, Education Minister Mahavir Pun, Finance Minister Rameshwar Khanal, Industry Minister Anilkumar Sinha, Agriculture Minister Madanprasad Pariyar, Communications Minister Jagdish Kharel, Health Minister Sudha Gautam, and Youth and Sports Minister Bablu Gupta.

With the addition of these four new ministers, the current cabinet now has 14 members.
