Jhapa — Acting Chair of the CPN United, Ghanshyam Bhusal, has claimed that even after the upcoming election the country will not find an easy way out and may head further toward crisis.

Speaking at a press interaction held Friday in Birtamod, Jhapa, Bhusal said that although the election should help resolve the nation’s problems, it appears unlikely in the current circumstances.

Criticizing the way political parties operate, Bhusal said that even after the message sent by the “Gen Z” movement, there has been no real improvement within the parties.

He accused the old parties of being “inept” and of failing to work in accordance with the aspirations of the people. Targeting the Rastriya Swatantra Party (Raswapa), which has emerged as a new force, Bhusal labeled it a “grassroots” party. “Raswapa has neither any clearly defined ideology nor any principles. It is just a grassroots force,” he said.

When asked which party’s victory would be best for the country, Bhusal said he could not give a clear answer, although he believes the nation is now seeking a new solution.

Discussing his own political journey, he acknowledged that while he had tried to build a clean, corruption-free party when he was part of CPN UML and later the Unified Socialist, it was not possible there.
