Kathmandu — The Sher Bahadur Deuba faction of the Nepali Congress is holding discussions with the central committee elected from the 14th General Convention.

Leaders from the Deuba camp gathered at a hotel in Dhumbarahi on Sunday afternoon for talks, coordinated by former acting president Purna Bahadur Khadka.

The meeting comes after the Nepali Congress officially recognized the faction led by Gagan Kumar Thapa following a special general convention. The Deuba faction has since been holding separate discussions.

A day earlier, the group had met at Khadka’s residence and agreed to accept the Supreme Court’s verdict on the party’s legitimacy.

However, dissatisfaction remains within the faction, and discussions are now focused on determining the group’s future course of action.

To address this, Khadka has initiated consultations with central committee members elected from the 14th General Convention.
