Nepal are taking on the UAE in their third match of the Cricket World Cup League 2. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Nepal lost two wickets for 29 runs.

For the first time in the ongoing series, Nepal left out Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh, fielding Arjun Kumal and Binod Bhandari as new opening batters. Kumal was dismissed for 11, while Bhandari remained at the crease on 16 runs.

Bhim Sharki was out for a duck, leaving captain Rohit Paudel and Bhandari to stabilize the innings.

Nepal also made changes to their bowling lineup, dropping Karan KC and Bashir Ahmad, while giving opportunities to Nandan Yadav and Lalit Rajbanshi.

In the ongoing series, Nepal secured an important two points by defeating the UAE in the opening match, but suffered a heavy defeat against Oman national cricket team in the second. With Nepal struggling in the points table, every home-series match has become a must-win encounter for the team.
