Kathmandu — Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has pledged that, if his party leads the government, the next five years will be fully dedicated to good governance and national development.

Speaking at a party election rally in Kathmandu on Sunday, Thapa said the party will make every moment of the next five years count to deliver tangible results in development and governance.

He criticized other political parties for focusing only on forming and sustaining governments in recent years, saying, “The next five years should not be spent merely on forming and keeping governments. This period must deliver results. That is why we stand before you with a pledge — to utilize every day, every moment of these five years for Nepal’s governance and development, without wasting a single moment. We come with vision, commitment, and a concrete plan.”

Thapa also emphasized the need for cooperation among all parties to move the country forward.
