All-party meeting called by the Prime Minister begins at Singha Durbar

Kathmandu – An all‑party meeting called by Prime Minister Sushila Karki has begun at Singha Durbar to discuss preparations for the House of Representatives election.

Leaders of major political parties, officials from the Election Commission, chiefs of security agencies, and representatives of civil society are participating in the meeting.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting is mainly discussing the environment needed to complete the elections on schedule, legal procedures, and security challenges.

At today’s meeting, the Election Commission is expected to brief participants on its preparations, and efforts will be made to reach consensus among the parties on the election timetable.
