After state mechanism failed to protect people’s lives and property, we formed a volunteer force: Oli

Kathmandu – Communist Party of Nepal Unified Leninist Chairman KP Sharma Oli said that the National Volunteer Force declared by the party will also protect those who have grievances against UML.

Speaking at the volunteer-force announcement event on Friday in Kathmandu, he argued that since the state’s mechanisms alone cannot ensure the security of the country and people’s lives and property — a lesson learned during the Gen Z movement — it’s necessary to take action for national and public safety.

He said: ‘Because the state apparatus alone could no longer protect the lives and property of citizens, and safeguard national assets, this force has been established to provide that protection.
