After 25 years of publication, Himal Khabarpatrika decides to call it a day

Kathmandu, 16 May: A monthly magazine that was born a quarter of century ago has decided to wind up. Himal Khabarpatrika will no more be printed and published, and that the ‘Jestha issue’ will be the last one, announced Kanak Mani Dixit, its publisher.

The magazine that prioritised current affairs and eco-politics had first appeared as a fortnightly and then became a monthly.

Thanking everyone related to the magazine in various capacities, publisher Dixit said that the publication of Himal Khabapatrika will be halted with the ‘Jestha issue’ published. He however, injected some vague hope about its rebirth in ‘some form’ stating sometime in any form it may appear at readers’ hand after the review of the media market along with readers’ aspiration’.

Online version of the magazine himalkhabar.com  will, however, continue, the publisher’s note said.
