Kathmandu — A meeting of the National Security Council has begun at Singha Durbar.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has informed that on Thursday, the meeting started at the Council Secretariat in Singha Durbar under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sushila Karki.

The meeting has been convened following a tense situation that emerged in Simara, Bara.

It is expected that the meeting will discuss recent security challenges, and analyze security arrangements in view of the upcoming elections.
