15-member committee formed to draft parliamentary rules; Parajuli appointed chair

Kathmandu — A 15-member drafting committee has been formed to prepare the House of Representatives’ rules of procedure.

The committee was constituted on Monday under the chairmanship of Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker Ganesh Parajuli, following a proposal by MP Kabindra Burlakoti that was endorsed by the House.

Members of the committee include Ojaswi Sherchan, Ain Bahadur Mahar, Khagendra Sunar, Khusbu Oli, Gajala Samim Mikrani, Tapeshwar Yadav, Dhruvaraj Rai, Nisha Dangi, Nishkal Rai, Balawati Sharma, Madhu Chaulagai, Yagyamani Neupane, Rekha Kumari Yadav, and Sulav Kharel.

The committee has been given a 14-day deadline to complete its work.
