Vietnamese Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan Arrives in Nepal on Three-Day Visit

Kathmandu – Vietnamese Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan arrived in Nepal on Saturday afternoon for a three-day official visit at the friendly invitation of Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav.

She landed at Tribhuvan International Airport around 12:30 pm, where she was welcomed by Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba and Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badriprasad Pandey. Senior government officials, security chiefs, and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion. The Vice President was offered a guard of honor by the Nepal Army.

From the airport, Xuan headed directly to Hotel Soaltee. She is scheduled to meet Foreign Minister Dr. Deuba later today.

During her stay, the Vietnamese Vice President will pay courtesy calls on President Ramchandra Paudel, Vice President Yadav, and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The visit is considered significant as Nepal and Vietnam mark the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations this year. This is also the first-ever high-level visit from Vietnam to Nepal, making it a milestone in bilateral ties.

Vice President Xuan is scheduled to return to Vietnam on September 9.
