Legendary Singer Asha Bhosle dies at 92

Veteran Indian playback singer Asha Bhosle, regarded as one of the most iconic voices in modern music, has passed away at the age of 92.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, Bhosle died after being admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where she had been undergoing treatment for cardiac and respiratory complications.

Sources said the singer had been unwell for several months and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. She was admitted to the intensive care unit on Saturday night.

Her son, Anand Bhosle, confirmed her death on Sunday, with last rites expected to take place soon.

With a career spanning over eight decades, Asha Bhosle leaves behind a towering legacy in Indian music, having recorded thousands of songs across multiple languages and genres.
