Mustang Par seat goes to NC

Yogesh Gauchan (28) has bagged the Mustang Parliamentary seat. Although, formal announcement is yet to be made by the Election Commission, reports from the counting center suggests that Gauchan has emerged victorious in a triangular contest, defeating his nearest rival Prem Prakash Tulachan (UML) by a margin of 914 votes.

Gauchan secured 3,992 votes against Tulachan’s 3,078. Prabain Sherchan of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party was a distant third securing 66 votes.
