Protest by Health Sector Students (Photos)

Kathmandu – Students from the health sector staged a protest demanding the fulfillment of various demands.

They demonstrated at Maitighar Mandala on Monday. Carrying banners and placards, the protesters mainly demanded the creation and expansion of official positions for HA, CMA, ANM, pharmacy, lab, and other health-related fields.

They alleged that there are insufficient positions for HA, CMA, and pharmacy professionals, that manpower serving for years has been neglected, and that discrimination has been imposed against health workers who play a key role in rural healthcare services.

Their demands included maintaining adequate permanent positions, ending discrimination in the health sector, ensuring respect and rights for technical health workers, providing justice to manpower serving in rural areas, ensuring proper representation of technical manpower in the Health Service Commission, and stopping discrimination against health workers.
