Deuba faction leaders’ meeting begins in Dhumbarahi

Kathmandu — A meeting of leaders from the faction of Nepali Congress former president Sher Bahadur Deuba has begun in Dhumbarahi.

The meeting, led by former Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka, is currently underway at a hotel on Tuesday. Leaders including Bimalendra Nidhi, Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, Prakash Man Singh, Shashank Koirala, Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, and Sujata Koirala are participating.

Earlier, a meeting held at the same venue on Baisakh 6 had concluded with a “wait and see” strategy. The Deuba faction has been expressing dissatisfaction after the party was restructured under the leadership of Gagan Thapa through a special general convention.
