Deputy Speaker nominations open today; RSP support seen as decisive

Kathmandu — Candidacy registration for the election of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives under the Federal Parliament is taking place today.

The time for filing nominations has been set from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. However, it is still undecided which party will secure the Deputy Speaker position.

The political equation remains uncertain, particularly as the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has not yet decided whom to support.

Based on parliamentary arithmetic, the candidate backed by the RSP is highly likely to be elected as Deputy Speaker.
