Kathmandu- In a move that may not be taken kindly by China, Prime Minister of Tibetan Government in Exile has congratulated  Balen Shah. the newly elected Prime Minister of  Nepal.

Penpa Tsering , Sikyong of the Central Tibetan Administration, headquartered in Dharamshala, said in his felicitation that Balen’s rise as the Prime Minister of Nepal is the symbol of aspiration of the youths.
Tsering said, ‘ Nepal and Tibet share deeply rooted Historical and spiritual bonds that have endured across generations. These ties are further strengthened by the Tibetan community in Nepal, who, having found refuge following the forced occupation of Tibet, have long contributed to the social and economic fabric of Nepal while preserving  their Tibetan identity.,’ adding this was made possible by the generosity of the people of Nepal.
The 14th Dalai Lama’s felicitation to Sushila Karki , first so far, when she took over as the Prime Minister in September had sparked huge official protest from China, and the Sikyong continuing with that practice, may only add to the Chinese ire.
Nepal officially considers Tibet as an autonomous province of China.
