My Arrest Is Retaliatory: Former Prime Minister Oli

Kathmandu – Former Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli has said that his arrest is retaliatory and that he will fight a legal battle.

Police arrested former Prime Minister Oli on Saturday morning.

Before his arrest, he had consulted with lawyers. After police reached his residence in Gundu to arrest him, former Attorney General Ramesh Badal and senior advocate Tikaram Bhattarai also arrived there.

According to sources, he had instructed his lawyers to prepare for a legal fight.

He has been taken into custody and transported to the Kathmandu District Police Office.

Police also arrested former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak from his residence in Bhaktapur on Saturday morning.
