Shram Sanskriti Wraps Up MP Selection Following Strong Election Debut

The Shram Sanskriti Party, which emerged as the fifth-largest party in the House of Representatives following the March 5 general elections, has finalized the names of its four members under the proportional representation (PR) system.

The party has recommended Mandira Moktan from the Indigenous Nationalities (Women) cluster, Radhika Ramtel from the Dalit (Women) cluster, and Ambika Sangroula from the Khas Arya (Women) cluster. For the Indigenous Nationalities (Men) category, Purna Limbu has been selected to represent the party in the federal parliament.

In these elections, the Shram Sanskriti Party secured a total of seven seats. While the party won three seats through direct elections (FPTP), it was allocated an additional four seats under the PR category after receiving 385,902 votes nationwide. The direct seats were won by party chairman Harka Sampang from Sunsari-1, Dhruvaraj Rai from Bhojpur, and Aaren Rai from Khotang.
