Nepali Congress Opens Victory Account as Gauchan Wins Mustang

Mustang — Yogesh Gauchan Thakali of the Nepali Congress has been elected to the House of Representatives from Mustang, securing 3,307 votes. His closest competitor, Indradhara Bista of the CPN‑UML, received 1,806 votes. The Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Adhitya Chandra Thakali garnered 759 votes, while Kamala Lalchan of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party received 161 votes and Ngutuk Gurung of the Nepal Communist Party obtained 151 votes.

Out of 11,328 registered voters in Mustang, 6,388 votes were cast, of which 107 were invalid, according to the election office. The official announcement of results is still pending.
