An RSP Wave Sweeps the Country – Where Are Other Parties Leading?

Kathmandu — According to the preliminary results of the ongoing vote count in the House of Representatives election, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is leading in 37 constituencies across the country.

Following the RSP, the Nepali Congress is ahead in six constituencies, the CPN-UML in three, and the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) in one constituency.

Province-wise, the RSP has secured its largest lead in Bagmati Province, where it is ahead in 17 constituencies. The party is also leading in five constituencies in Koshi Province, four in Madhesh Province, four in Gandaki Province, and seven in Lumbini Province.

Meanwhile, the Nepali Congress is leading in Terhathum-1, Lalitpur-1, Mustang-1, Kapilvastu-3, and Kailali-1.

Similarly, the CPN-UML is ahead in Syangja-1, Rupandehi-4, and Banke-2, while the NCP is leading only in Rukum East, according to the early vote count.

However, in most districts of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, vote counting has yet to begin.

Early trends in the ongoing election have shown the RSP performing strongly in several constituencies during the initial phase of counting.
