Home Ministry Says Election Preparations Complete Across All 77 Districts

Kathmandu – The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that all preparations for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5 have been completed in all 77 districts of Nepal. The announcement followed a virtual meeting between the ministry and chief district officers from across the country to review readiness and security arrangements.

The meeting, chaired by Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha, was attended by senior ministry officials and district administrators who provided updates on logistical and security measures. According to ministry spokesperson Rama Acharya, chief officers reported that the necessary preparations are finished and that the security situation remains calm nationwide.

Officials also assessed district-level conditions, precautionary measures for election day, and coordination between central and local authorities, reaffirming strategies to ensure a safe and orderly voting process. It was noted that election personnel, security forces, and essential materials have already reached polling stations across the country.

Secretary Shrestha urged district officials to maintain vigilant and effective security arrangements to support a peaceful, orderly election.
