Kathmandu — Rajendra Lingden, Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), urged voters to cast their ballots based on reality and facts rather than being influenced by social media.

Speaking on Thursday at an election campaign event for Kathmandu’s Constituency No. 2, he specifically asked people not to be swayed by content on social networks like Facebook, TikTok, and Reels.

Targeting especially the youth, he appealed that decisions should be made by observing the real situation on the ground, not by following social media materials. He said this election is not just about selecting one member of parliament or engaging in the process of government formation, but it is a decisive turning point for the future of the country.

He claimed that the very existence of the country is currently at risk. Placing the idea of “Nepal First” at the center, he emphasized that every voter must think thousands of times before voting. He urged voters not to repeat mistakes by again voting for parties and leaders who have been unsuccessful and lacked a clear vision in the past.

According to him, the RPP is the only option for peace, development, and stability in the country. He said the RPP is capable of coordinating both new and old political forces and moving forward.

He said, “This election is not just about choosing a single MP or simply about government formation. We are entering this election in extraordinary conditions. We are at a point where this country may remain or may not remain. For that reason, keeping the nation at the center and putting ‘Nepal First’ and ‘Nepali First’ at the core, before casting your precious vote think a thousand times. Should we again make a mistake by voting for those who have repeatedly failed and had no clear direction? That choice is in your hands. The only option for peace, development, and stability that you have been searching for in this country is only the RPP. Only the RPP can unite both old and new political forces and move forward. If there is any coordinating force in this country today, it is only the RPP. Therefore, it is necessary that the RPP be a strong force in the coming parliament.”

He warned that Nepal’s decision-making power has slipped out of the hands of its own people, and that Kathmandu residents are aware of foreign interference and external manipulations.

Chairman Lingden appealed to voters to ensure victory for the RPP candidate in Kathmandu Constituency No. 2 and throughout the country for the sake of safeguarding the nation and its development.
