Kathmandu –  Dinesh Humagain, the vice chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in Bagmati Province, has resigned from the party, formally submitting his resignation to the general secretary and announcing that he will not remain even as an ordinary member.

Humagain was a candidate from Kavre-2 in the 2022 House of Representatives election, where he received 10,573 votes.

In his resignation letter, he listed seven reasons for leaving, sharply criticizing the party’s internal processes. He alleged extreme financial manipulation in the candidate selection process, a lack of transparency in expanding the central structure, and opaque management of membership and finances.

Humagain said the party had shown a large gap between its declared principles and actual practice, undermining the possibility of internal reform and prompting his decision to quit.
